Game Overview

Constellation is a word game where players provide answers for different categories that start with a specific letter. The game is played in rounds, with each round using a different letter.

Basic Gameplay

  1. Each round has a randomly selected letter and 5 categories.
  2. Players must provide answers for each category that start with the round's letter.
  3. Any player can stop the round at any time by clicking the "Stop" button.
  4. After a round is stopped, all answers are verified and scored.
  5. The game continues for multiple rounds, with scores accumulating across rounds.

Scoring Rules

Answer Scoring

  • 2 points for a unique valid answer (no other player gave the same answer)
  • 1 point for a non-unique valid answer (other players gave the same answer)
  • 0 points for invalid answers or blank entries

Stopper Bonus/Penalty

  • +2 bonus points for the player who stops the round if ALL their answers are valid
  • No bonus or penalty for the stopper if SOME of their answers are valid
  • -2 penalty points for the stopper if NONE of their answers are valid

Answer Validation

Valid Answers Must:

  • Start with the round's letter
  • Be a real, existing thing in the given category
  • Be correctly spelled (with minor typos allowed)
  • Be appropriate for the category

Note: Answer validation is performed automatically using AI to ensure fair and consistent judging.

Tips for Success

  • Try to think of unique answers that other players might not come up with
  • Fill in all categories before stopping the round to maximize your points
  • Only stop the round if you're confident your answers are valid
  • Keep an eye on the leaderboard to track your progress
